VGL Studio (“we”, “our”, or “us”) is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard your information when you use the Dog Translator mobile application (“App”). This App is provided as a free service and is intended purely for entertainment.
Dog Translator asks for microphone permission for its Translator feature, so the App can “listen” while you speak to your pet and produce a playful, novelty “translation”.
Any audio is handled in real time entirely on your device. The App does not save recordings, and does not upload, transmit, or store your audio on our servers or anywhere else. We do not use your audio to identify you. The “translation” is generated locally and is meant for fun only — it is not a scientific or accurate interpretation of animal sounds or of your speech.
The My Pet feature lets you add a profile picture for each pet you create. You select an image through your device’s photo picker; the App does not use the camera and cannot browse your photo library. Photo access is optional and is used only when you actively choose to add a picture.
The App keeps a reference to the photo you selected in its private database on your device so it can show the picture in your pet’s profile. We do not upload, collect, or transmit your photos to our servers or to any third party. Deleting the pet profile removes that reference.
The Fake Call feature lets you schedule a simulated incoming call. To show that call, the App may ask for notification permission on Android 13 and above and may vibrate your device. All notifications are scheduled locally on your device by you; the App does not send push notifications from a server. Fake Call is a simulation only — it never places or receives real phone calls.
Pet profiles and the photos you choose for them are stored locally on your device. You own and control this content. You can edit or delete any pet profile from within the App, and uninstalling the App removes this data from your device.

We do not collect personal information such as your name, email address, or phone number unless you voluntarily provide it (for example, when contacting us by email). The App does not collect precise location information.

Our App displays advertisements through Google AdMob. AdMob may deliver ads through third-party ad networks (mediation partners), each of which operates under its own privacy policy. These services may use cookies, device identifiers, or your Advertising ID to serve advertisements, including personalized ads based on your interests. You can opt out of personalized advertising or reset your Advertising ID through your device settings.

To understand how the App is used and to keep it stable, we use Google Analytics for Firebase and Firebase Crashlytics. These services may collect device identifiers, usage events, and diagnostic data. The data is used in aggregate to improve the App and is governed by each provider’s own privacy policy.

We retain collected data for as long as you use the App and for a reasonable time thereafter. If you would like us to delete your data, please contact us using the information below.
You can opt out of all data collection by uninstalling the App; because your pet profiles are stored only in the App’s private storage, uninstalling also removes them. You may also reset or delete your Advertising ID through your device settings. To remove content stored inside the App (such as pet profiles), you can delete it within the App or clear the App’s data. Our App is not directed to children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe we have inadvertently collected information from a child, please contact us so we can promptly delete it.
We implement standard security measures to protect your information from unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected on this page with an updated “Last updated” date. We encourage you to review this policy periodically.
